Eduardo Martín

GUITARRIST, COMPOSER AND PROFESSOR

Eduardo‘s music has been performed worldwide within the classical guitar universe for the past 30 years. He is the first Latin American composer to win the Radio France International Guitar Competition.

In 2003, his works “La Trampa” and “Hasta Alicia Baila” were nominated for Best Classical Album at the Grammy Award and in the same year he was chosen by the “American Composer’s Orchestra” of NEW YORK to be the guest composer at the Sounds of the Americas festival.

He frequently tours Cuba, South America, the United States and Europe, where he gives recitals, seminars, workshops and master classes, always receiving an excellent reception from the public and specialized critics.

Throughout his career, he has recorded for radio and television in many countries in America, Europe and Asia.

He has been a judge in several international guitar competitions, and numerous guitar festivals around the world have also been dedicated to him and his musical creations.

His discography contains more than 100 recorded works and a catalogue of 100 works covering a wide range of musical genres and forms.

He is a professor at the Instituto Superior de Arte de Cuba, a work that he alternates with his concert tours.

Eduardo currently directs the International Guitar Festival “Identidades” in Havana and the “En Confluencia” concert series. Eduardo is Executive Director of UNEAC.
